I have been in a seconded management role for a year now and I wish I had been on this course prior. I have found the course really helpful and will use what I have learnt in daily practice. Really enjoyed the course, thank you 🙂
Moving Into Management, Inclusion, June 2023
I’ll utilise the skills learnt around de-escalation and be mindful of changing circumstances and what to do around mental health situations. Excellent training, amazing delivery and added a sense of realism into real life situations. One of the best courses I have been on.
Difficult, Disturbing & Dangerous Behaviour: OP Special Event with Dr Iain Bourne, May 2023
I believe that today I was provided with more knowledge and understanding than I had at the start of the training.
I hope I will be able to remember what I have learned in order to provide better support to not only my clients but to also extend my understanding to anyone I may encounter in my life who has autism.
Supporting People On The Autism Spectrum, OP course, May 2023
An exceptional trainer dealing with a difficult subject in a respectful and forthright fashion. I learned a lot and really enjoyed the day. Many thanks for a truly informative course.
Working With Gang Culture, Inclusion, May 2023
I learnt new strategies to use with young people. I had the opportunity to talk to others about a case I was struggling with and had support.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Compass, April 2023
The whole course was incredibly insightful – it not only provided us with in-depth information and knowledge surrounding alcohol use and its effects, but also the tools and skills needed to work with this specific group of clients. We were provided with loads of great resources and exercises which I plan to use when working with alcohol clients in recovery sessions or initial assessments. Overall, this course has built my confidence in working with this client group, and left me feeling motivated and hopeful.
Working With Alcohol-Using Clients, Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
I will use MI techniques to help prepare for client meetings more thorough, to identify gaps when exploring challenges, both in terms of what can be asked and the way questions can be asked. Also, using useful acronyms like DARN CAT to identify change talk.
I found Stacey to be warm, engaging, very insightful and the course a pleasure to attend. I’ve learnt a lot and hope to put many of the techniques learnt into practice.
Motivational Interviewing, Talking Therapies (Berkshire Healthcare), April 2023
It was really useful to have, and find out about more, information on the potential side effects of antipsychotic drugs. Robert was an excellent trainer.
Mental Health Medications, Hightown HA, March 2023
Knowledgeable, showed good presentation skills and answered questions well. It was useful to go through the practical components and what to do and not do when encountering someone who has self harmed.
