It can be very difficult to keep up with developments in this area. Media headlines generate more heat than light, and argument continues about the best interventions for established drugs of abuse such as heroin and cocaine. The range of new ‘research chemicals’ and other ‘legal highs’ that people can have delivered to their (or your!) doors after a few mouse clicks continues to grow. Alcohol misuse remains an entrenched problem that possibly gets less attention than it deserves. Substance use can also affect or disguise other difficulties that clients might be experiencing, such as mental health problems. Legal changes bring further challenges for policy.
Our consultants’ wide experience in the substance use field enables us to provides in-depth, relevant and up-to-the-minute training.
All our Substance Use courses are mapped to the relevant DANOS Units.
