Managing Tenancies and Licences
Usual course length: 1-2 days
Courses can be tailor-made from the following elements:
- Distinguishing between the different types of occupancy and how they are created
- Recognising the obligations placed on landlords and tenants by statute, common law, and contract law
- Identifying whether Notices served to end each type of occupation are valid or not
- Knowing when grounds for possession need to be proved against an occupier, and how to successfully argue them
- Dealing with situations where there has been a surrender of a tenancy (also known as 'abandonment')
