Supporting Young People Leaving Care
Usual course length: 1-2 days

- Exploring developmental theories relevant to young people who have experienced the care system
- Looking at barriers to successful independence and how to overcome them
- Examining statutory entitlements for young care leavers, and how best to access local resources
- Outlining responsibilities on staff working with this client group and the boundaries that need to be maintained
- Deciding on best practice through case-study discussion
