July 2013 session

Our July 2013 session will be on Eating Disorders, led by Stacey Barker. Stacey is a freelance trainer with a background in youth work, working closely with young people experiencing eating distress.

Stacey will be looking at:

  • Myths and assumptions about people with eating disorders
  • What the different disorders are
  • Symptoms, signs and interventions
  • Positive ways to engage with people with eating issues
  • What kind of support is there and how to get it

This session will give attendees an insight into the lives of those with eating disorders and hopefully impart some ideas for working positively with clients who experience these.

The session will be held on 16 July at St Mungo's, 7 King's Bench Street, London SE1 0QX, and will run from 2.30-4.30pm. The nearest Tube stations are Waterloo East, Southwark and Borough.

The sessions are free to attend but places are limited so you must request a place by emailing us at the address below.

Numbers of places allocated to any one organisation may be restricted to ensure the widest possible representation.

We hope you will be able to attend.
