June 2013 session

Our June 2013 session is on Digital Exclusion, a hot and controversial topic at present, particularly with regard to Universal Credit and wider access to welfare benefits and advice.
Leading the session discussions will be:

  • Chris Andrews, who has set up and facilitated several exciting digital inclusion projects for The Connection at St Martins. He'll talk about engaging clients through informal learning, leading to more formal engagement with technology and give examples of useful accessible online resources to inspire and enhance creativity.
  • Alana Avery from On Road Media, who will lead us through an interactive film exercise and share some of their work and discuss the issues, obstacles and creative responses when working with the digitally excluded community.

The session will give attendees new ideas on how to use their resources to maximise the inclusion of their clients, and also an opportunity to share their own good practice.

The session will be held on 14 June at St Mungo's, 7 King's Bench Street, London SE1 0QX, and will run from 2.30-4.30. The nearest Tube stations are Waterloo East, Southwark and Borough.

The sessions are free to attend but places are limited so you must request a place by emailing us at the address below.

Numbers of places allocated to any one organisation may be restricted to ensure the widest possible representation.

We hope you will be able to attend.
