November 2012 session

This month's session is on Service User Involvement. The session will be led by Amarjit Kaur and Terry Murtagh. Amarjit is director of service user involvement at Revolving Doors Agency and previously head of involvement at Breast Cancer Care and former chief executive of Groundswell. Terry is the service user involvement coordinator at Revolving Doors and also works part time at Groundswell; he is a former service user himself.

The session will look at what service user involvement is; the benefits of involving service users; what are the potential barriers and how to ovecome them. There will also be advice about setting up an SUI project in your organisation. Terry will also talk about his experiences of service user involvement, moving from volunteer to employee.

The session will be held on 21 November at The Connection at St Martins, 12 Adelaide Street, WC2N 4HW, and will run from 2.30-4.30. The nearest Tube stations are Charing Cross and Leicester Square.
The sessions are free to attend but places are limited so you must request a place by emailing us at the address below.

Numbers of places allocated to any one organisation may be restricted to ensure the widest possible representation.

We hope you will be able to attend.
