June 2012 session

Responding to many requests in your feedback forms, our next session, on 20th June 2012, will be on Self-Injury.

It will be led by Stacey Raymen-Barker, a youth worker with many years experience of working with young people who self injure. She is also a freelance trainer providing training in Self-Injury and other subjects.

Working with people who self injure can be a confusing and sometimes distressing experience. Stacey will be exploring some of the myths, prejudices and underlying issues that people who self injure face. There are no 'quick fixes' to end SI, but she will look at the vital role of the support worker and hopefully impart tools to help you work more effectively and confidently.

The session will be held at The Connection at St Martins, 12 Adelaide Street, WC2N 4HW, and will run from 2.30-4.30. The nearest Tube stations are Charing Cross and Leicester Square.

The sessions are free to attend but places are limited so you must request a place by emailing us at the address below.

Numbers of places allocated to any one organisation may be restricted to ensure the widest possible representation.

We hope you will be able to attend.
